Final 15 645 (H5 - 1446, L20 - 525) Grabbed the final playoff spot in the East and draws a nice first round series against GM Chad's Leafs.  GM Ryan isn't favorite to win in round one and this is one of the worst teams to make the NHLP playoffs, but he is in the dance and weirder things have happened, just not in the NHLP.  Semin is going to have to lead this team in a big way if they are to go while could be a sleeper if the Hawks get by the Canucks.  All in all, not a great team.
75 18 862 (H5 - 1446, L20 - 525) Will have to score down the stretch, but has gained constantly on GM Chad who is only a mere point ahead of GM Ryan and without Crosby the rest of the way.  This team is only 4 out of 2nd and only needs to catch one GM for a playoff spot, even though missing the Deadline.  Still led by Semin, but carrying a non playoff in Jokinen, likely meaning a first round exit anyhow if GM Ryan makes it in.  Could still miss with his two Hawks, so although he could be in penalty free, he could also be easy pickings.  On a bright side, a Washington - Chicago final would be a dream.
70 17 991 (H5 - 1446, L20 - 525) Semin has a new high CTR as Washington is a top seed in the Eastern Conference.  GM Ryan has subtly been stating that he can't do anything here.  What he could do is miss the Trading Deadline and miss the playoffs here.  Can he afford to miss his opportunity to improve?  There is potential, but can Ryan see it?
65 18 832 (H5 - 1446, L20 - 525) The CTR liked the two Hawks and Jokinen Waiver pick.  Johnson went but if the Rangers can stay in a playoff position, and why can't they, Gaborik is very solid scorer down the stretch and in the playoffs.  Still struggling to score as a seven man team, but catch still catch the Pens and Fury in the East Division.  We do like the new options GM Ryan now has.
60 19 645 (H5 - 1446, L20 - 525) You know it really is a bad season when your best player, potentially your best, goes from the 3rd seed to a team only rated out of kindness.  Oh wait a minute.  What is that?  GM Ryan had the foresight to move Goligoski in a waiver pick, before he got traded!  Goligoski along with Boyes and Bergfors for J. Johnson, Ennis and Boyle.  The CTR liked how it turned out, so maybe things are turning for the best here.  Still has Nash and Ennis unrated, but both are on teams that look to be rising.  Still not gaining enough, fast enough that is, on the injured teams ahead (Cleveland and Pittsburgh).  We do expect that to really change in the next two weeks, and this team will be in a playoff spot in the East, making that 7 points out of third place disappear by the NHLP Trading Deadline.
55 20 525 (H5 - 1446) The best thing to happen to GM Ryan's Bruins this year is Crosby is still a little foggy as to what happened to him last month.  "I'm still ringing in the New Year" stated Crosby.  Once that fog clears and the ringing stops, GM Ryan will again be in trouble here.  Nash, Boyes and Bergfors are out.  Brown, just may join them.  Goligoski may be the teams most valuable player and with no one left to score in Pittsburgh, can they truly keep winning?  This team, as is, is total garbage.  A waiver is coming, but is help on the way?
50 19 572 (H5 - 1446) The Bruins are in ruins once again.  Heard again from the rafters is the chanting which started almost 20 years ago, when then led by GM Ian and his love for Russian players.  The fans were united in Boston with a common theme...their hate for the invaders.  "Things were very different back than" stated Muddy Capone.  "GM Ian tried to build an all Russian team and the fans revolted."  The fans on the right side of the Gardens would yell out "What about the Bruins" and the left side would reply in unison, "Their defectors" and then the entire stadium would come together as one, "And we want our money back!"  Refunds were as rare as success.  Now-a-days, Semin has been that lemon, with zero points in January, helping GM Ryan fall to 7 points out of the playoffs in the Eastern Division.  It isn't the points out, as much as, the teams makeup.  Four fringe players and a Russian who isn't widely known for his playoff prowess.  Ryan has done a great job in Boston the past few years, coming just so close, but this team isn't feeling like those teams, it is feeling like the 90's when the GM who was in charge could never do anything right with the Ruins!
45 17 627 (H5 - 1446) A season low CTR.  What here is there to like? Washington and Tampa Bay have fallen seeds and arguably has 4 non playoff players at 125 points (31.5 each).  Will likely take fourth, but isn't on anybody's 'Watch out for' list!
40 19 809 (H5 - 1446) GM Ryan did not have a memorable Winter Meeting.  Struggled all night to participate and was left very bitter.  Dropping to a season low CTR to start 2011 won't help cheer him up either.  Did make a move here in Boston, adding Bergfors for the injured Zidlicky.  Only Nash here is not rated.  Semin is still the team leader and the biggest asset.  Ryan will struggle to battle for fourth all season and may be a seller down the stretch towards the NHLP Deadline.
35 17 851 (H5 - 1446, L17 - 833) The slide has finally stopped.  Washington has moved back up seeds, just like that.  Semin will need to be strong in the second half as GM Ryan will need every single point possible to stay in the Eastern Division race.  NEW YEAR'S WISH:  Columbus, Minnesota or St Louis need to rebound.  Ryan may have to eat Nash if he doesn't move him but he needs his scoring to stay close, so that is a really tough spot to be in.  Columbus needs to come back and then runs by Semin in Washington and Brown in Los Angles would be the hope.
30 17 833 (H5 - 1446) The CTR drop continued all the way to a season low.  Semin's stock fell as did that of Nash.  Only 10 out of 1st place in the East but 4 players either out or fringe, so the assets have diminished. (“You can do anything if you’re not afraid” - Daredevil)
25 10 1142 (H5 - 1446, L9 1075) Will miss Downie for a few weeks as every point here will matter for the entire season.  Still led by Semin, who has been great, and has 6 playoff players, but is in a tough East Division.  Dropped in the CTR thanks mostly to Columbus, Minnesota and St Louis all dropping NHL seeds.
20 5 1446 (L9 - 1075) At CTR #5, but only the 3rd best rated team in the East!!!  Semin is the golden boy here for GM Ryan, leading a great team, in a big way.  This team is awesome, with room to improve, and a coming waiver for some tweaking.  The loan problem here, remains scoring.  Ryan is going to have to battle all season long for position, that won't come easy with Crosby, Ovechkin, and Backstrom on teams behind him in this Division.  At some point, someone is going to sell out!  It is a game of skill, and will power, and it is definitely...GAME ON!
15 5 1229 (L9 - 1075) The third best CTR ranked team in the East, even though still in 5th spot in the division and still not scoring.  A season high CTR with 7 ranked players and seeded jumps from Nash and Fisher.  Boyes is slowing the teams scoring, so there is hope that changes.  Great asset regardless, if Ryan needs to move him, so this team can climb the East standings anytime they choose.  You have to love Semin, over a point a game as Washington has climbed to the very top of the Eastern Conference Standings.
10 6 1122 (L9 - 1075) The second best team in the East, even though in 5th spot, and is having trouble scoring.  Top seeded players Semin, Downie, Brown and Boyes is not something many teams, if any can boast.  Needs more scoring from Nash, Boyes and Antropov.  This team fits GM Ryan's style quite nicely.
5 9 1075 With Semin and Downie leading the charge GM Ryan's Bruins are looking very good early.  Washington has already take over a top two seed in the East, keeping Semin's value high.
