Notes
1 1255 Charlie

(West)
Where is the surprise here?  GM Charlie came to the draft and started his year with something solid.  Don't be surprised to see this team a force all season.
2 1232 Jr

(West)
With the strength of the Stars being a top Western team, GM Jr is looking awesome here with Ribeiro and Morrow.  Now we say the same thing about the Avs and Hejduk and you can see why the high rating taking shape.  Only Little is not rated.
3 1186 Andrew

(Central)
Third in the Central but a better CTR than the two teams ahead.  Led by Backstrom, Franzen and Bertuzzi, only O. Jokinen is not rated, but he is scoring.  Hemsky is a downer at the moment.
4 1043 Andrew

(West)
Another solid team in the West.  GM Andrew showed up on draft day, two teams in the top 4 of the CTR, and will likely be high all season, in the CTR as he builds his potential winner.
5 1013 Michael & Ray

(Central)
First in the Central is a great start with already a great potential up an early 17 points on 9th.  Peverley twice is not rated with a poor start in Boston.  With everyone here scoring the Co-GM's have to be happy early.
6 1010 Tyson

(East)
Everyone here is scoring in a big way.  Hudler?  Wow, what a gem he has been early.  Gagne has found a home in LA and has been a true King for these Hitmen.  Carter will miss a few games, but points are no issues for GM Tyson here early.
7 993 Jr

(East)
A very nice start here, except for Chara of course.  Stastny is earning his status with Colorado a number 1 seed in the NHL West.  Wow, gotta love that.  Briere is gold with the play of the Flyers.  Hemsky and Chara, holding things back.
8 930 Scott

(East)
"Make all the Semin jokes you want, just don't draft him on me" says GM Scott.  Scott loves the guy and that wicked shot he does possess.  Kelser is back so we expect the Flyer to do some climbing from the basement in the East.
9 921 Tyson

(Central)
Thank God for Kessel and Malkin.  Five Jets?  Are you kidding us?  Who drafted this team, the Mayor of Winnipeg?
10 920 Marcel

(West)
John Tavares, 8 points in 4 games and the Islanders are in the playoffs!!!  You have to love being 14 points up early, even if you have two Habs and two Bruins, none of which are playoff players, yet anyhow!  The NHLP West looks tough with four in the CTR's top 10.
11 830 Michael & Ray

(East)
Maybe it was the French coming out of them, but 3 Habs?  Well on paper Cammalleri, Subban and Gomez may look solid, but with 3 points in 12 player games and Cammalleri injued, the Habs must give more.  After saying that this is a second place team in the East and points haven't been a problem thanks to Vanek, Gagne and Sequin.  How long is McDonald going to be out this time?  Better be preparing for an injury pickup we predict.
12 826 Joel

(West)
The Canucks have their Ducks on a roll.  Perry, Selanne and Visnovsky, all rated and looking good beating the Sharks in back to back games.  Now they just need to score some points is all.
13 803 Matt

(East)
Some strong starts from Ehrhoff, B. Richards and Bolland, all over a point a game early.
14 791 Charlie

(East)
A decent ranking for a 8th place team.  Weiss is givin'er.  Nice playoff team top to bottom with 7 ranked players.
15 770 Scott

(West)
The bright side is Connolly is an asset out of the gate.  Even if he can't skate and hasn't played and regret has already set in about drafting him.  Still an asset.
16 758 Shawn

(West)
A decent start here.  Brunette has looked good but Morrow and M. Richards even better.  Who are those Dallas Stars?  When you look at their roster, how can Dallas be as bad as many predictions?  They have a hell of a lot more than you may think.
17 710 Chad

(East)
It appeared to a few that maybe GM Chad jumped on Letang a tad early.  What do we know?  Letang has 7 points in 7 games and although he is suspended, the CTR is loving him in a big way.  This team is anchored with 3 top NHL D-men, Letang, Burns and Streit.  How is that going to work out here?  So far, so good.
18 701 Matt

(Central)
Still no Connolly, but with Phaneuf smoking hot, GM Matt is still in a playoff spot, although only 2 points clear of 9th in the Central.  Clowe and Burns have to wait as San Jose isn't rating after a slow start.
19 700 Tyson

(West)
GIROUX
20 700 Matt

(West)
Usually out of the gates atop the CTR, GM Matt has work to do to climb.  Would help with some rating from Stamkos and Malone who aren't hero's but zeros while their NHL Bolts struggle.  Good news - Pominville!
21 660 Shawn

(Central)
Maybe wishing he'd of kept Penner?  Who knows on that one, but what we do know is the potential is here for a solid playoff team with three Wings leading the way.  Knuble has been solid and only Dubinsky is not rated.  Too many slow starts here to get the CTR's attention just yet.
22 622 Marcel

(East)
The CTR loves GM Marcel's Elite players.  Benn and the other guy.  Benn is on fire.  Did anyone catch the highlight goal he scored against Columbus?  Chips it by the forward, spins, tips it by the defensemen, slides it past the other D-man and flips it off the post and by the poke-checking goalie.  When you have moves like that and just turned drinking age two months ago, LOVE HIM!  And OV isn't to shabby either.
23 588 Andrew

(East)
Nice pick with Voracek as the Flyers can do no wrong.  Slow starts here.
24 586 Joel

(Central)
Three rated Hurricanes and half the team scoring.  Hornqvist has been nowhere to be found, but has proven he can get points.  Nice start for Tanguay, but he is GM Joel's only non rated player to start.
25 582 Michael & Ray

(West)
Everyone understands why Fisher is at home with his wife, but what is Stepan's excuse?  With not a point in four games, clearly he is somewhere else.
26 530 Shawn

(East)
Ehrhoff and Gerbe have more than made up for Ennis.  Do you think Shawn likes the Sabres this year?  Why not, they are off to a great start, all but Ennis of course.  Oh ya, he likes the Blues here too with Backes and Stewart.  Maybe that is why the 26th overall rating?  Oh well!
27 516  Marcel

(Central)
Neal the "Real Deal" may just seal that self-given nickname if he gets the opportunity to play with Crosby.  He hit the dumps in Pittsburgh after being traded there last season, but everyone knew he was too good to stay down for too long.  Lot of work to do here with 3 non-rated players.
28 493 Charlie

(Central
Has it ever been stated in the NHLP that Chara is a great playoff player to have, but you just can't carry him?  Well we are saying it now, for the 25th time.  Not a point in 6 games.  Ouch.  GM Charlie will have to get more from everyone else or move Chara, defeating the entire purpose of drafting him.  After saying that, zero for him is extreme, he could easily have 4 points and this team would be a playoff team.  Last in the Central in points, but much better than four Central teams in CTR rating.
29 472 Ryan

(East)
Everyone knows Iginla had a sore back in the pre-season, causing him to miss it, but only a point in 5 games?  Not Iggy like at all, even at 80%.  Nash has been solid, but the Blue Jackets should be called the Straight Jackets.  Actually Blue fits!
30 460 Scott

(Central)
Sabres have started out fine, but Ennis hasn't a point in 5 games.  Not good!  Nice starters in Sharp and Hossa, but 4 players on teams not ranked.  That has to change before the CTR will give respect to the Titan.
31 455 Ryan

(West)
We know you should never laugh at another's misfortunes...but it is so hard not too!  Crosby, Doughty and Kennedy all hurt.  GM Ryan has to laugh, because it hurts too much to cry!
32 427 Chad

(Central)
Hall and Eberle are almost a point a game in Edmonton, something that this rating likes.  Daniel is pure gold, but Vancouver is in an early battle for 8th place in the NHL's Western Conference, not something the CTR can get too excited about just yet.
33 417 Jr

(Central)
GM Jr just came off a very long season in Dallas and outside of H. Sedin, there would appear to be a lot of work to do here this season.
34 340 Chad

(West)
GM Chad himself would be the first to tell you he is a horrible drafter!
35 335 Ryan

(Central)
Outside of Duchene there isn't much to be too excited about.  Parise has been good on a rated Devil's squad but a number of slow starts and an injury to E. Kane have done nothing to help out GM Ryan here early.  Six of the 10 worst ranked CTR's - from the Central!!!
36 40 Joel

(East)
Maybe GM Joel should have picked the Barrie Island Half Chance Stumblers as his second team, the way he has Stumbled out of the gate...
