1774 (H1 - 2156, L10 -
1004) |
What can you say that isn't a compliment about this team? GM Shawn
put it out there and went for it. Top seeds are everywhere.
His cup hopes rest on Vancouver, Washington and Philadelphia making long
runs. What isn't there to like about that? Has drawn GM Chad
in Pittsburgh and likely would be out if Crosby plays. As is this
will be the biggest hurdle for Shawn, round one. If he gets buy it
with the favorites winning, he will be likely too hard to knock out.
Very nicely done. |

1745 (H1 - 2156, L10 -
1004) |
A pretty damn great season! Of course it means little if it isn't
completed with a Cup. The matchups are there if Vancouver makes it
and plays any of Washington, Philadelphia or Boston. May have
enough to win if GM Shawn does not match up. Made a splash at the
Deadline when he acquired Briere and Setoguchi for Lidstrom and Franzen
in a very interesting move with GM Jr in Calgary. Lost Hamhuis for
what appears the remainder of the regular season at least. If
Halifax team has one single knock against it, it is possible to be beat
in the first round depending on a matchup. Does not want to play
against a full playoff team in round one or it could be out depending on
player games in the first round. |

2045 (H1 - 2156, L10 -
1004) |
What is left to do? A full playoff team and 29 points to work
with. Henrik Sedin, Horton, Franzen and Lidstrom were all drafted
1 through 4. GM Shawn has been solid all season here, and will
remain one of the elite teams in the NHLP. These opportunities
just don't present themselves every year, and Shawn is no rookie, this
is his 6th season without a Cup. He knows what this means.
Halifax must do what ever it takes, to complete the job. |

2156 (L10 -
1004) |
Backes was moved for Cammalleri and GM Shawn has 6 of his 7 players on
top two seeded teams. In first by 31 points and all playoff
players. A new season high with the CTR. GM Shawn has an
opportunity to win it all. What more could he ask for with 80% of
the season over and his teams all top dogs. You can never rest,
never be good enough and with 31 points to work with, GM Shawn can still
do anything he wants. Just awesome!!! |

1997 (H1 - 2120, L10 -
1004) |
Remains in the feared category and with 41 points up on 5th you have to
wonder what GM Shawn can do yet to improve. That is a lot of
points and we are getting to crunch time. When the NHLP Trading
Deadline passes, so do the potential to do anything with those points.
Make no mistake, that you do want to be as high a seed as possible in
the NHLP come playoff time, and grab that home ice advantage, starting
each playoff series with the pick. How important is that?
That is for GM's to determine over the next three weeks. Clearly,
Backes will be moved. One for one or a package that changes this
teams look. Those points will alter another NHLP Division, so
everyone needs to be aware at what is going to happen down the stretch.
Big points will move! |

1991 (H1 - 2120, L10 -
1004) |
Boston, Detroit or Vancouver going to the NHL finals could give GM Shawn
his first Championship. As first overall in the NHLP, in the first
round of the playoffs, he'd play the 16th overall seeded playoff team.
Currently that is whoever finishes 4th in the West Division (Calgary,
Winnipeg, Los Angeles, Edmonton or Green Bay) and it appears not likely
to change this season. None of those teams want to face Halifax in
round one of the playoffs, for their own Cup hopes would be over
quickly. This team will be tough to beat. Depending on how
aggressive Shawn wants to get with Backes, will determine if he can hold
onto first overall and home advantage throughout the entire NHLP
playoffs, something that maybe wasn't as important in previous seasons.
Right now, it appears that 39 points of Backes' is all that may be done
the remainder of the season. |

1853 (H1 - 2120, L10 -
1004) |
Henrik Sedin was the reason for the first NHLP deal this season, when GM
Shawn, holding down pick number one overall, traded him to GM Charlie (NY
Rangers). This ensured Charlie got Ovechkin and with Crosby picked
second overall, Shawn got his man, plus a free waiver which turned into
more draft picks. All in all, a solid move. Sedin has not
disappointed. "I had Vancouver going to the finals versus Boston"
stated Shawn who, if that happens, won't be to terribly off with Horton,
Ryder and Seguin, here as well. With 28 points to work with, all
that may be left to do is trade Backes, and his 37 points, and hope his
preseason pick is even half right. |

1961 (H1 - 2120, L10 -
1004) |
Backes isn't rated but the rest of the team is at worst, home advantage
in the first round of the playoffs. Just an awesome team that is
up 31 points in the East. Still with a waiver for additional
leverage GM Shawn has the tools here to pull a huge deal and be a real
Cup threat. This team is feared and if you don't give it respect,
you haven't a clue when it comes to the NHLP. |

2120 (L10 -
1004) |
H. Sedin, Lidstrom and Franzen own the West Conference in the NHL, 1st
and 2nd seeded teams. GM Shawn is a huge Bruins fan (Horton, Ryder
and Seguin) in the East Conference, as he puts it, "Before the season
started I picked Vancouver and Boston in the NHL finals." Well, so
far, so good, as Shawn's Destroyers now have a new season high CTR.
Halfiax has 40 points to work with so can easily make a deal to improve,
playoff for playoff, to get stronger. This is a great team.
They can score, have position and seven playoff players. |

1784 (H1 -
2115, L10 -
1004) |
It is looking like a great 2011 awaits GM Shawn here in Halifax even
though falling from the CTR #1 for the first time since the second
rating of the season. Finally, the first overall pick for Shawn,
is paying off, as Henrik Sedin is a top seed in the West thanks to
Vancouver's unbeatable play. NEW YEAR'S WISH: Only East hope
lies in his three Bruins, so they must make a run this year. If
that fails to happen, GM Shawn's hope here will lay in Vancouver or
Detroit going to the finals, with either Henrik Sedin or Lidstrom and
Franzen, maybe the latter the better hope. With 22 points to work
with Backes should be able to bring additional playoff support. |

1715 (H1 -
2115, L10 -
1004) |
Only 10 points clear of 5th, even though first in the East Division.
GM Shawn doesn't need a lot of points for improvement as this team is
stocked with Backes the lowest seeded playoff player, but still seeded.
Boston has moved back up seeds and Shawn is carrying three Bruins.
There is simply nothing not to love about Halifax and they are giving
away their stock load of Waivers for the future as well. (“I’m
coming to get YOU!” - Rambo) |

1613 (H1 -
2115, L10 -
1004) |
Seven playoff players and still sitting in first in the East, but the
Destroyers have fallen in the CTR again, even though still the best the
NHLP currently has! Three Bruins, but a NHL Bruins team that has
dropped to about the 6th seed in the Eastern Conference. Still,
Franzen and Lidstrom are gold, and Henrik Sedin is a home seed.
With St Louis continuing to fall seeds, Oshie was dropped for Seguin.
Still leads the league in games remaining so will easily be able to stay
high in the NHLP's Eastern Division standings, even though it will be
hard to remain CTR #1. |

1891 (H1 -
2115, L10 -
1004) |
Oshie's injury was much more long term than the CTR realized, but GM
Shawn is still 12 points clear of 5th and he seems to have decided to
try and ride the injury out. That will be a very tough thing, as Oshie isn't expected back until January or February. No shortage
of assets here; two Wings, Bruins and Blues, teams that are all 1 through 4 seeds if
the playoffs started today. Lidstrom has been unbelievable.
Hank Sedin had his ranking fall with Vancouver's drop, that now of an almost unrated
team.
This team is still the team to beat in the NHLP but things have all of a
sudden tightened a lot. |

2115 (L10 -
1004) |
No change in the CTR, this team is still the best there is in the NHLP.
Shooting up almost 300 more points in the rankings. Oshie's broken
leg will only dampen the spirits around Halifax, but it won't change a
thing as long as St Louis, Detroit, Vancouver and Boston keep winning.
Now 17 points up on 5th in the East, GM Shawn can wait out the Oshie
injury, but can't afford another player going down or he will then fall
in the standings for certain. Henrik Sedin was unrated last CTR,
so he is finally pulling his weight here big time. This team is
really great, having all 7 players ranked, but that should never mean a
GM, or GM Shawn, should be content. We'll watch it unfold but for
now, this is the team to beat in the NHLP. |

1861 (L10 -
1004) |
A HUGE jump in that ratings. Up from CTR #10 to first overall in
the ratings! This team is truly Destroying in every sense of the
word. Top seeded players Oshie and Backes and home seeds from
Lidstrom, Franzen and Horton. Five players are averaging a point
per game. GM Shawn is easily outscoring all the other teams in the
East and will continue to build on his solid position. All this
without even a rating from his first round selection, Henrik Sedin.
We expect that to change, as Vancouver is expected to be a playoff team
at some point this season. A minor first Waiver, adding Dupuis for
Bolland was just moving sideways. Their is nothing not to love
about Halifax. Welcome back Shawn! |

1004 |
First place in the East and the third ranked in the CTR top 10 from the
East is GM Shawn in Halifax. Having no trouble scoring, GM Shawn's
Destroyers are off to a great start. All Western Division players,
except Horton, who are battling for early seeding position (Detroit, St
Louis and Vancouver). This team is a solid drafted team with
Henrik Sedin, Horton, Franzen, Lidstrom and Oshie. Bolland from
Chicago is the top seeded playoff team this early. Shawn has the
first two Waivers of the season and clearly he has a ton of options to
choose from. Will be very exciting to see what he does to improve
here in Halifax. |
