GM Chad hung onto Crosby and was still able to easily score enough to
get in. If Crosby doesn't play a game, it seems it is a flip of a
coin in round one versus Halifax for Chad. This team is solid and
always has been the best Pittsburgh built team in the NHLP. Chad
could win his third NHLP Championship, but unlikely without Crosby.
The NHL Pens could easily win round one with Sid, giving him a couple
more weeks to be healthy, but can Chad be around in round two without
Sid's scoring? It could just happen! |

1368 (H1 - 2037, L24 -

It appears the Crosby injury may have cost GM Chad a playoff spot.
That would be hard to take for the CTR 5th best team in the NHLP.
Only a single point up on GM Ryan and 5 up on 6th. Crosby's zero
the rest of the way may be the demise of this team. Still have the
best Pittsburgh built team but can he stay in the top 4 teams with just
43 player games left? |

1571 (H1 - 2037, L24 -

Still 7 playoff players but still, no Crosby. GM Chad has somehow
stayed in a playoff spot, even though clearly losing ground in March to
the chasers. It appears there is hope Crosby comes back, but when? If
it is only for the playoffs, can Chad stay in? Would he ever move
Crosby and what could he ever get to replace him? Chad has talked the
good talk, that he isn't panicking and clearing his top assets for
nothing, but does he have the brass balls to carry
through? Is it a mistake to do so, not trading Crosby for a great
package and securing a spot? Imagine keeping Crosby and he never
comes back? No GM wants to be in Chad's shoes, for these aren't
easy questions to answer. |

Still no Crosby and still 8 points up on 5th. You know the
Penguins are just holding off until it matters. You do know that
right? Crosby being shut down won't happen, but GM Chad needs his
scoring to help make it. Still all about the Pens with Crosby,
Letang and Staal and we doubt that changes. Solid team but not
what it would be if Pittsburgh was a higher than 4th seed or Crosby had
another 30 points since Jan 1st. |

1507 (H1 - 2037, L24 -

Crosby hasn't a point yet in 2011 but GM Chad is holding onto a playoff
spot, still 7 up on 5th. Still the best Penguins built team in the
NHLP, but can he keep it together? Chad does have 7 playoff
players, so other assets could move first. When will Crosby be
back? He will be back, right? |

1676 (H1 - 2037, L24 -

Without Crosby, GM Chad's Pens, along with the NHL Pens have both
climbed. Pittsburgh has been making the most of a nightmare,
losing not only Crosby, but the Super Bowl and Malkin. Crosby has 1 point in 2011 and
the effects are evident in Chad's team scoring. Just 10 points so
far in February, tying GM Charlie's pathetic scoring Rangers for the low
in the East Division. Chad is only 12 points clear of 5th and will
likely be 4th or 5th next rating. Crosby must come back as Chad's
one realistic hope is Pittsburgh goes to the NHL Final. |

From a 600 point jump to CTR #1 to a 500 point fall when things came
crashing down. So what happened? Well for starters, Crosby
has one point this month and Pittsburgh has fallen seeds, affecting
Crosby, Letang and Staal. Doan and Keith also dropped seeds since last
rating, while no player on the team gained. The 44 point month affected
GM Chad's position, as it was the worst month in the East, tying GM
Charlie's NY Rangers. This team is still just about awesome and can
easily be CTR #1 again if (NHL) Pittsburgh climbs in the East. |

What a JUMP!!! GM Chad's Pens jumped 600 CTR points...AND CROSBY
IS INJURED! The Pens climbed back into top spot, giving Crosby the
leagues highest rated CTR score, along with Letang and Staal who now has
5 points in 7 games after 0 in 4 to start his comeback. Phoenix has
jumped to a 4th seed, giving Doan great value with 30 points in 37 games
after being such a dead beat to start the season. Keith has also moved
up the charts as Chicago has their highest rating of the year, a true
6th in the Western Conference Standings. Not every great team can win
the NHLP Championship, but this is truly an awesome team.
Congratulations to GM Chad who took the team from a CTR #24 to #1,
undoubtedly the first GM in league history to accomplish that feat. |

The minor tweak at the Winter Meeting was adding Wisniewski from
Montreal, who have dipped again to the 8th and final seed in the East.
Still the Crosby show, even though Pittsburgh has also dropped seeds for
Chad's three Pens. Does have Staal finally back playing, which
should help moving forward. Still a great position, some 27 up on
5th with a full rack of ribs with Doan and Keith getting credit from the
CTR as playoff teams. |

1521 (L24 -
315) |
Crosby is scoring 34% of all GM Chad's points. This team hit a new
high for the CTR with 1521, up 100 points since the last CTR and all the
way up to CTR #5 from the last overall rated team early in the season.
The Pens here started 24th, then 21st, 19th, 18th, 3rd, 6th and now 5th
overall. A great climb to the elite will GM chad should be able to
stay. NEW YEAR'S WISH: Jordan Staal to finally get healthy, giving
Chad an unbeatable Pens lineup of Crosby, Letang and Staal. A Pens
Cup run has to be in the future as Crosby won't be moved by Chad this
season. He needs Crosby to stay healthy, but has enough position,
to improve this team's chances. We love how possible it is for
this wish to easily occur in 2011. |

1379 (H3 - 1454, L24 -
315) |
Letang may have been the best Waiver pick up this season as the Penguins
are flying with a 12 game winning streak. Crosby is once again the
NHLP's golden boy, clearly our leagues most valuable asset and GM Chad
is still second place in the East, without Staal playing a game this
season. Staal seems to be having a lot of difficulty still, but at
some point Chad is going to have 3 Pens on his mirror team. 007-11
has a nice ring to it! ("Say
hello to my little friend" - Scareface) |

1454 (L24 -

A totally unbelievable jump in the CTR, some 600 points. The NHL
Penguins have jumped seeds and GM Chad has added Letang who has been
simply awesome, now with 26 points. Crosby has been sensation to
say the very least. A full team of 7 playoff players and without
Staal playing a game yet, GM Chad is only one point out of the division
lead in the East. Unless the NHL's Penguins hit the skids hard,
this Penguins team will remain a threat and near the top of the NHLP
CTR. |

A nice climb in the CTR thanks to adding Laich. A waiver this
week, so Parise might turn into something rated also. Crosby is
the point leader but Pittsburgh isn't a top four seed, so there is room
for this team to improve. One point ahead of 5th, and it just does
not appear this team will start climbing in this tough division, where
all season, everything will be earned! |

Finally help is on the way this Friday when GM Chad can grab up to a 5
point player for Lombardi. This team shall then likely be in first
place in the East in the Standings and get a boost in the CTR. At
76 points, Chad's Pens are 4th overall in the NHLP Standings, so scoring
isn't the issue. What is an issue, the Pittsburgh Penguins play,
having them and Crosby here not ranked. That smarts big time.
Ryan and Brunette are finally ranked thanks to the Ducks and Wild
playing great hockey that last 5 games, all wins by Anaheim. Still
a very poor CTR even though it is getting better. |

339 (L24 -

Not what you'd hope for a team carrying Sidney. The Pens have
fallen further in the NHL standings as have the Hawks and Preds, all
teams of players here. GM Chad does have decent position
considering but there are not many assets on this team and won't improve
until changes come. |

This is just an ugly team at the moment. No one is scoring and
teams are not great seeded teams. Led by Sid the Kid, so it isn't
all that bad, as long as Pittsburgh stays in the playoffs, this team
will always be able to improve via trade. Will need lesser guys to
get moving as Gonchar, Keith, Stempniak and Lombardi have 5 points
between them. Sid may be able to lift that heavy medicine ball, but
carrying it, on his back all season, might be asking too much! |
