In on the very last game of the NHL season. Not the worst team in
the playoffs but really would have loved to see Dallas get in for
Morrow's added scoring. Will need all the first round scoring
possible against the favored Miami Surf (Charlie). Is likely
Vancouver or nothing unless Phoenix or Pittsburgh run. Getting out
of the first round will likely be just too tough and back to back Cups
by GM Tyson, very unlikely. |

Needed some points so he added Morrow for J. Johnson which was likely a
crazy move. "If Dallas didn't make it GM Tyson was in anyhow so
why add a Dallas player? If Dallas makes it they are likely out
now." Well he did gain 8 points and has a solid playoff team even
though he still might not be in unless Dallas misses as he is 2 out of
4th. Added Zuccarello for stretch scoring and the next day Hamhuis
gets a concussion, his second back to back concussion, and will likely
be gone a while. So gone move! Has backed the Yotes and the
Canucks and hopes Crosby comes back and plays with Neal in the first
round, giving this team a huge boost in scoring. Likely in, but
not a guarantee, but truly could again win the Cup with a Canucks run if
everything falls into place. |

What do you want to have this time of season? A full team of 7
playoff players, of course!!! Welcome to St Louis and GM Tyson's
world. Oh sure he is 12 back of a playoff spot, but he can do just
about anything. Imagine the daily emails; "Is Kesler available?"
Tyson is likely telling Shawn guys, "I'll
let you know. Stop sending me daily emails!!!" Must have a
lot of guys to let know, because everyone is looking at this team.
If he gets in with what he has, you just never know. What will
have to go? You just never know! |

The injuries clearly caught up with GM Tyson here in St Louis.
Gaborik was moved out for Johnson, but the Kings are by no means a shoe
in yet. Still with three Canucks, and several teams in front in
the South Division have major work or at least major question marks, so
all is not lost yet. With Phoenix dropping from hero's to zero's,
the CTR however, has taken a hit. This was a team that has lost 16
points in the standings since the last rating and is now 11 back in 5th.
Not time to panic, way too many assets, but will the team be able to get
better or have to give something just to make the playoffs? |

Another season high but only 6 points ahead of 5th. Bothered by
some injuries to big scorers Gaborik and Whitney isn't going to help the
position until GM Tyson gets healthy here. Still a solid team,
with solid hope. Neal goes from Dallas to Pittsburgh, that is a
blessing right now. If Crosby comes back, they might be line
mates. There might be that first round scoring we were worried
that might be missing here. GM Tyson has a shot here to win the
Cup, AGAIN. |

A Waiver and now ten points to work with. This team keeps scoring
at a wicked pace. Still 6 playoff players which will make the
Waiver interesting. Does GM Tyson try to tweak things or trade
away the waiver? Now might be a great time to add a piece with a
big deal within the NHLP, but with only 10 points to spare, it likely
won't be a blockbuster, if it occurs. A great CTR and a great
opportunity on the Canucks run to become the first GM in league history
to win back to back years with different teams. If he can get
through round one of the NHLP playoffs, who knows from there. |

A 61 point month would have led either the Eastern Division or Western
Division and been second in the North. This is however, the South.
A 61 point month in the South was below average. With the teams
around them having 77, 70 and 67 point months, GM Tyson has to be asking
himself what does he have to do to gain ground here? Only 5 points
up on a playoff spot, and a team that may have over achieved, on paper
anyhow. Even the weak links Hamhuis and Vrbata had 14 between them
and are pulling their weight right now. That may have to continue.
This team may lack first round scoring, but after that, already has a
Canucks run all over it. |

1345 (H9 - 1402, L24 - 67) |
Three Canucks but only 4 points up on 5th. Can GM Tyson keep his
Canucks together? Whitney and Vrbata have moved to the 4th seeds
in the West even though Tyson has dropped a little in the rating. |

1402 (L24 - 67) |
GM Tyson has came a long way since he was once rated 24th in the CTR at
the 10 game mark. At that point Gaborik was hurt, he was 10 points
out and only had 2 rated players. Now 1335 CTR points later he has
a new season's high, three Canucks and seven sweet notes, none singing
the Blues. We love the movement, but where to go from here will
get a little tougher from here on out. |

1321 (L24 - 67) |
No better way to start the New Year than
with a season high CTR mark, one of 5 teams to reach a new high on this
rating. Seven playoff players and position led by two Canucks, a
team looking like they own the West right now. Dealing with some
injuries but this team is ok. NEW YEAR'S WISH: Phoenix makes
the playoffs. If the Yotes' fall out, GM Tyson has 40 additional
points he has to worry about. Chicago is in the same boat for
Tyson, but Campbell's low total is movable regardless. A Canucks
run with any support could make Tyson the first GM in history to win
consecutive years on different teams. |

1294 (H9 - 1304, L24 - 67) |
Has settled in to a good team in St Louis. Currently some fringe
players, but 7 are rated and the position is great at 21 up on 5th.
The team is hot. Hell, even when a player (Raymond) breaks a bone
on this team he is still only day to day! (“At
my signal, unleash hell” - Gladiator) |

1304 (L24 - 67) |
A huge jump up the CTR Rankings with Vancouver and Dallas both higher
seeds for Neal, Kesler and Raymond. Still ok position in the South
and 7 rated players. |

727 (L24 - 67) |
A nice improvement, thanks mainly to the Coyotes jump in the NHL
standings, from unrated to a number 6 seed. "That is what happens
when the standings are so tight and you have two players on a team that
has a 6 game winning streak" stated Muddy Capone, "All of a sudden
Whitney and Vrbata, whether you like the Yotes or not, are assets in the
NHLP." Gaborik has come back scoring, but the two Canucks, Kesler
and Raymond are not getting much value as the Knuckles have lost 3 in a
row and fallen to the 8th seed in the West. |

451 (H18 -
630, L24 - 67) |
The Canucks jumping from not rated to a 3rd seed has helped a lot here
for GM Tyson. Gaborik back will improve the 5th place standings in
the pathetic South Division. Pathetic may seem harsh, but trust
us, it is deserving! Make no mistake, this team has a long ways to
go and still can't score worth a damn, but the worst, maybe just maybe,
might be in the rear view mirror. |
10 |

Ten points out with only two players rated. Gaborik should stay
clear of the glow-in-the-dark-golfing for a while. |

Where would this team be without Neal? The guy is on fire, with 7
points in 5 games and his Dallas Stars are a CTR top seed. Now for
the bad news. Gaborik's shoulder, like his hip, had to be put back
into location and half of this team isn't ranked, with Phoenix and New
Jersey taking the first few weeks off. |
